What was your first job, and how did it shape your life?

My First job was working at a Japanese restaurant called Tampopo in St.Paul. It was my freshmen year of college. It shaped my life because I knew I did not want to work in a restaurant.

What keeps you awake at night?

Knowing that there is still more work that I need to finish. There is never enough that you can do in a day. You sometimes just have to give in and go to sleep.

What books are currently on your bedside table?

On my beside table I have 1Q84 byHaruki Murakami and In the Blink of an Eye by Walter Murch.  I don’t like to read much for leisure so they will probably be there for a while.


When do you feel most free?

Of course when I’m making music in my studio.


What was the last present you gave someone?

Last present I gave someone was a copy of my new project “Imperial Grade Project + “ that is releasing on Feb 16. I gave out somecopies out to close friends.  

What was the last present you received?  

Last present I received was a pour over coffee maker for Christmas.

What’s your view on money?

I’m a musician so that pretty much sums it up.

What is an extraordinary place you have recently traveled to? 

I traveled to New Orleans last spring and it was really cool. The culture was very rich. My conclusion of New Orleans would be a Miami mixed with Las Vegas.
