Diana Tsao Events

A native New Yorker, Diana always has a sense of urgency. For many years, she worked at American Express (in New York and Singapore) and created Centurion “Black Card” events. Three years ago, she started an event management company. She produces custom experiential events to help companies achieve their customer acquisition, retention and loyalty objectives. Currently, she is developing a sailing experience for a private jet client and producing a brand relaunch event for a financial services company. In 2016, she wants to work with more companies and individuals from China on unique and exclusive events. When she’s not working, she lives to eat and travel.

What was your first job, and how did it shape your life?

Cold calling thousands of small businesses one summer selling a foreign exchange payments service. I learned perseverance.

What books are currently on your bedside table?

I don’t read books frequently anymore, I do read online everyday through outlets like BBC, Business Insider and Eater.

When do you feel most free?

When I’m biking or in a gym class. There are no distractions except what you have to focus on in the moment.

What was the last gift you gave someone?

Personal stylist for a friend who was always confused about their wardrobe. Stylist revamped their closet and took them on a curated shopping spree. They loved it and said it was the best service they every received!

What was the last gift you received?

Champagne club subscription. Every few months bottles from private estates are delivered with a description of the family, tasting notes and the grape varietals. It’s a surprise every time!

What is an extraordinary place you have recently traveled to?

Aspen. I went skiing, dog sledding and one night after the mountain closed - took a snowcat up for dinner on top of the mountain.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

I’ve been to 47 countries, including Greenland, and know 5 languages to varying degrees. And that I can bike in a cocktail dress.
