What was your first job, and how did it shape your life?
I majored in Computer Engineering at college. My first job out of college was developed and implemented the technology of SBC control photocopying. It was a collaboration with Wuxi Publisher. Because I love to write, I wrote investment report for Chinese Comper Report. After worked on several projects, I found my passion was not on Computer Science. I love to work with news report and travel for jobs. I became a journalist for foreign business at Chinese Computer Report, and vice-president/president of Public Relation Department at Chinese Computer User Magazine. I realized that my interest is human communication and marketing, instead of technology based work.
What keeps you awake at night?
Not much now. I like to be calm and make everything in order. Things to do tomorrow are all arranged.
WHAT BOOKS ARE CURRENTLY ON YOUR BEDSIDE TABLE?
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
Bringer of The Light: How you can change your life and change the world by Neale Donald Walsch
WHAT IS AN EXTRAORDINARY PLACE YOU HAVE RECENTLY TRAVELED TO?
This January I went to Taiwan and volunteered for the company called “Maternal and Child Care Growth Association.” I went to visit the kids at Taiwan Hualien Maizuru National Primary Care Aboriginal, gave them gifts, and planted coffee trees with 29 children. The children so cute! My heart melted by their movements. They are not used to being hugged, but they are also so eager to be embraced and be taken care of. They are beautiful, kind and true... I can’t use words to describe my mood and feelings. I think of words in the Bible: “more blessed to give than to receive.”
